Mother: Theresia Nemeth, Daughter of a small landowner (austro-hungarian dragoon); catholic.

Education: two years of technical secondary school in Tetschen; high school in Basel; high school diploma in Freiburg; matriculation at the University of Basel and teacher at a private high school in Basel during the whole studies.

Marriage to Anna Therese Lerch; Marriage divorced 1980.

University Diploma:(licentiatus philosophiae = master of arts) in German philology and History (Middle Ages and Modern Times) at the University of Basel; subsequently postgraduate studies in clinical psychology, medicine and psychiatry at the University of Basel. Scientific Teacher Diploma for high schools of Basel.

Teacher at the Swiss high school of Sao Paulo (Brazil).

Marriage to Maria Anatalia da Cruz, from marriage come two daughters and a son.
